Forehead Lift
A forehead lift, or browlift is a surgical procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. The procedure is designed to correct drooping brows and improve the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear sad, tired or mad. Often times a forehead lift may be performed in conjunction with a facelift. There are multiple reasons people chose to undergo a forehead lift, including:
- To enhance their appearance and self-confidence.
- To better match their outward appearance with how they feel physically or emotionally.
- To restore their original facial features and make them appear more rested.
Surgical Candidates
- Good physical and mental health.
- Maintain realistic goals for surgical results.
Procedure
- Performed under anesthesia within a hospital or surgery center.
- Patients may spend one night within the hospital or overnight center, or may even go home the day of surgery.
- The procedure involves removing or altering the muscles and tissues of the forehead that cause the furrowing or drooping, resulting in a smoother forehead. This also raises the eyebrows and minimizes frown lines.

- The following medications are also prescribed to assist in your recovery:
Antibiotics, ibuprofen and stool softener.
- The doctor or her assistant will visit with the patient one to two days after surgery.

- Dr. Burgess will follow your healing process closely throughout the weeks and months following surgery.
