Out of Town Patients

When patients travel from out of town to visit with Dr. Elisa Burgess, our office will try and accommodate your schedule to make your visit as relaxed as possible.  Burgess Plastic Surgery is conveniently located only 1 mile off of Interstate 5, about 9 miles south of Portland. We recommend that when you initially consider surgery, to call our office and find an appointment that best suits your travel schedule.  Once you’ve selected a surgery date, it is important to plan on staying in the greater Portland area for several days following your surgery, as Dr. Burgess will want to see you for a post-operative follow up appointment.  You must have a friend or family member stay with you overnight and drive you after surgery.

Following surgery, patients do have the option of staying in Rest & Recovery.  Rest & Recovery is an area within Meridian Park Hospital that provides 24 hour nursing care for cosmetic surgery patients.  However, it is not a hospital admission.  Our office can place your reservation for you at your pre-op appointment.  If you have surgery at Meridian Park Hospital, you are taken to your private room, nurses help with of all aspects of your recovery.  Dr. Burgess or her nurse will visit you there the following morning.  If you have your surgery at a nearby surgery center, you can be transported to Rest & Recovery.

If you decide on going to a hotel following your surgery or after your first night in Rest & Recovery, you must have a support person with you overnight to assist you.  Below is a list of nearby hotels that are less than 10 minutes driving distance from our office.
